The boxer dog originates from Germany, its appearance is quite striking. They are a stocky, medium sized dog with very short hair and their coat is smooth to touch. They look very similar to the bulldog because that is where they were bred from. They are fast runners, have an extremely hard bite and tend to hang on to their prey.

FIrst seen back in 1895 at a dog shot in Munich the following year a club was established. They are classed the sixth most popular dog in the USA, haven moved up from the 7th spot back in 2002.
